I’m usually pretty free over the holidays, so I originally planned to stream a lot more but family had other plans this time around. That said, I wanted to pop in and give everyone a clear update on what’s been happening and what to expect going forward.I’ve streamed for about a week so far, and I’ll be uploading a video covering that week soon. For every week of streams, I’ll be making a condensed 5–10 minute recap video that highlights what we worked on. This lets me put out regular progress updates for Kobold Garden with Patrons getting access one week early before they go public.The first few weeks (and videos) are focused on creating the kobold and player models. After that, I’ll transition into coding and actually building the game with those models. At the end of each month, I plan to put together a playable build based on that month’s progress. Patrons will be able to try these builds one month before anyone else. We’ve been making fast progress on the models, so there’s a chance the first build could land in January, but February is looking more realistic.I also have an older Kobold Garden build that was originally planned for a Steam Next Fest in 2025, which unfortunately did not materialize. This build is still very buggy and needs a few invisible walls so you don’t run off the map, but I plan to upload it soon as a Patreon-exclusive build. New builds will look and feel very different from this one, but I want to preserve it as a snapshot of what Kobold Garden once looked like.On a side note, I may occasionally work on smaller projects as well. Any playable builds from those will also be uploaded as bonus Patreon-only content. This won’t be a major focus for now as I’m putting most of my energy into Kobold Garden but I do have other ideas I’d love to share when the time is right.With this new system of streams, recap videos, and early-access builds, my goal is to finally provide consistent early content for my loyal backers, while gradually releasing that content publicly to help rebuild and grow the Kobold Garden community.Thank you all so much for your continued support and for believing in this project. 2026 is shaping up to be a very kobold-packed year.Merry Christmas and happy holidays from your friend at uwusoft 🎄💚
