Race Engineer App v3.0.0
1 / 3
DESCRIPTION

Assetto Corsa has no race engineer, which results in needing multiple visual apps to keep you informed of what is going on. This app provides a race engineer to keep you informed of events and your car's status. It is also a way to receive vocal informative responses to any queries you have! This results in significantly more immersive and enjoyable experience.

This app provides drivers with a race engineer who will provide:

Voice Recognition (Windows O.S users)

Voiced Random Info Updates

Voiced Session Event Comments (Session Start/End, Final Lap, VSC, SC)

Popup UI window (MFD) to ask the engineer for specific info. (My Position, Wind Info, Gap to car ahead, Tyre Temps, Car Damage etc)

Responses to live events. (Qualifying Lap Invalidated, Low Fuel, Damage, VSC, FIA DRS and ACTIVE AERO enablement.)

Voice Recognition - How it works

1) You need to have windows speech recognition setup and working.

2) On loading a session the Race Engineer App will produce a small PowerShell Script window (as seen below:)

3) This will listen to your voice and then feed that to the Nuzzi Race Engineer App.

Currently the race engineer will be able to respond to the following commands:

Radio Check

My Position

Tire Temps

Tire Wear

Brake Bias

Damage Status

Wind Info

Gap to driver ahead/behind

Battery Info

Should you not want to use Voice Recognition and to disable the Power Shell Script Window from popping up, you can disable it by editing the user vars at the top of the Race_Engineer.lua file.

Compatibility:

If FIA App installed it must be at least v3.0.0.

Min CSP 0.2.6

This app is designed for offline use. (Some parts may work online, but it is untested.)

Tested and Development on Windows O.S, other O.S such as Linux may not work. (Currently looking into supporting them too!)
