What started as an escapist mental health activity of just drawing one of my favorite characters gradually turned into a self-indulgent exploration of my headcanon of Daisy as a groovy, flower power transfem babe of the 60's and 70's as well as just loving on Nintendo design sensibilities in general. I redrew several of these just to include bits of her costumes from Mario Kart World.
For those of you in the Department/Archive Access tiers, you'll probably recognize many of these that have gotten upgraded or mirrored that I initially shared some months ago. 😅 I'll do my best to not let the next zine I do go on for quite so long though because this one really got out of hand toward the end. I'm comforted that it got out of hand to your benefit, at least🥰
I put this up as a combination of single and two page spreads since I think that'll be easiest for viewing on mobile and stuff, but the layout is basically what I'm planning for the physical zine!🧡
