Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a conundrum, so I’ll just get right to the point I’m really not feeling this project anymore. Corrupt House was my first real dive into UE5, and honestly… it’s just not it. I want your help deciding what to do from here.
Option 1: I keep pushing forward. I add some proper endings, throw in around 10 more H-scenes, polish things up, and try my best to finish the game in its current state.
Option 2: I move back to Unity and make something more like Corrupt Descent. I wrap up Corrupt House quickly without adding any more H-scenes, release it for around $3, and we move on.
I’ll also be fully transparent about what’s wrong with the project. Since I was learning UE5 as I went, a lot of the systems I built early on ended up really buggy especially the AI. The high-resolution character models also make animating way harder, which means I can’t add as many characters as I originally wanted. And on top of that, the grab system limits the types of H-scenes I can even make when the player gets caught.
Overall, I’m just not having as much fun working on this as I did with my previous project, and I’m honestly way more excited about going back to Unity and making something in that Corrupt Descent style something I know you guys actually enjoy.
In the end, I want you to decide what I should do, because you’re the ones supporting me and giving me the ability to keep making these games.
