Hi everyone!! Long time no see :) First and foremost, thank you all ENDLESSLY for your patience. My surgery was successful! The recovery was even more brutal than I could have anticipated tbh, but I’m feel much better now and more like “me” again. My fiancée has been taking amazing care of me during this time :)
It’s been really difficult to not work for this long- I’ve been doing this since I was 19 years old (almost a decade now) and I have never once taken a break or leave for this long before. It feels very strange and honestly I don’t love it lol, but it was unfortunately quite necessary as the recovery for this surgery was not something I could play around with. My initial recovery period is 6 weeks, but technically I will be recovering for a full year, just to put in perspective how crazy of a timeline it is!
Anyway, I’m happy to announce that I’ve been cleared to get back to work on March 1st! I literally can’t wait. Just a few more weeks and I should more or less be able to return to at least the monthly rewards. I absolutely need to prioritize commission work as well because I’m now in medical debt to the tune of (redacted)…. so keep an eye out for YCHs or other slots if you’re interested!
Additionally, I’d love to offer something to you all, my wonderful patrons, for not only being so patient but also being massively supportive while I recover and even ask that I didn’t temporarily close my patreon so you could help in financial support. That level of generosity is not lost on me and once I’m back to 100%, I will give a further update on this. (If you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know!)
