Network stuff is hard! I'm struggling with it with all my tiny arms... But private messaging was the most requested feature. So yeah, it's coming!
In the next release (soon! almost here), you will be able to add your favorite multiplayer partners to the "friends list", block those who you don't want to fight, and send messages to people from your friends list!
