Hello everyone! I’d like to introduce my latest OC, Ririka Hanamori. She’s probably the OC with the most detailed hair I’ve made so far. Honestly, her creation was pretty unusual—she actually started as a filler character, literally xD. She was only meant to fill in scenes.
At first, I just had in mind a short character, something cute, a bit spoiled and manipulative, with exaggerated proportions, using pastel and very vibrant colors.
In the end, I decided she deserved more than that and took her in a less superficial direction—or at least gave her a bit more justification.
At the beginning, the model was very rough. I adjusted her height, exaggerated some proportions, and started to like how she looked. Little by little, I refined her hair, eyes, and small details that I ended up liking a lot. I’d also like to add more details to my other OCs (Erin, Kana, and Anna), like uniforms or other distinctive traits.
For a while now, I’ve been planning to create a small universe for my OCs, so I can build scenes that feel consistent with their personalities. Of course, I’m still a beginner in all of this—I’m not trying to be pretentious.
I hope I can stay consistent, and if you like the idea, little by little I’ll introduce more OCs with small descriptions of their personalities or how they interact with each other. Of course, since it’s my OC, I’m probably the only one really interested in her, so I don’t want to overwhelm you with information that might only matter to me, haha.
Anyway, I really hope you like this character—I loved creating her.
