I added a little animation to the end according to Tom's comment on the last post, but I already had a bunch of NLA layers set up, so it had to be put on top of what was already animated.
With this animation, I wanted to test what I'm now capable of with lighting. My end-goal is to make animations that are cinematic, expressive, and clear, and the way to do all of that is with lighting.
I've had a few major revelations about how to optimize render times, and I've successfully reduced them by about 70%. That means all future animations will be rendered faster. And the Catwoman animation should be done in two days or less, unless we lose power due to this storm coming soon. Fingers crossed we don't.
My next project is going to be a commission, but after that, I'm gonna host a poll to let you guys decide what we should do next. I really want to create something that pushes the story-telling aspect. I want this next project to be something that feels more like a scenario in a time and place, rather than just an abstract sex scene. That's partly what I'm trying to do with this Catwoman project, but I feel like I could push it further as well as make something less derivative.
One last thing I want to say is that I'm also going to experiment with fluid simulations using Flip Fluids for Blender. This could turn out to be really interesting, so stay tuned for that.
