thought i'd be sharing some rough drafts for a new series i've been working on! The placeholder name for it is "Private Circle"
We'll be following a legal battle post-divorce, from the POV of the hired P.I and main lawyer on the case, as well as the 2 involved clients.
PITCH:It all starts when Client #1 suddenly files for one-sided divorce from the love of her life, Client #2, with absolutely no warning signs. The day before, they were happy, and the next, Client #1 leaves their house and Client #2 is served divorced papers without the option of refusing.
Legally, the case makes no sense, Client #2 is adament their marital life was perfect and doesn't understand why her wife suddenly left their life together, and in the country this takes place in, unilateral divorce is only granted with tangible proof of spousal wrongdoings and usually takes months or years to be approved by the courts.
Client #2 refuses to let her wife go, and calls upon an old friend (Lawyer #1) as well as a Private Investigator, to take on her case. Together, our exhausted legal team starts unraveling a much more sinister conspiracy surrounding both Clients than they ever expected.
TONE:
It is a serious mystery with plenty of humour and romantic/spicy hijinx between all women involved. We support women's rights but also women's wrongs. Everybody gay as hell in this house.
