DESCRIPTION

Hello everyone, With the launch of Vikings on Steam, we have noticed that a lot of players, or people interested in playing the game have problems playing it because it is made in Unreal Engine. So, we are thinking of switching the game engine from Unreal to RenPy ( the engine most of Adult Visual Novel Games are made in ). This would allow more people to play it on less performant PC's or Laptops, but it will reduce the game mechanics available. So, for one, we wouldn't be able to have the 3D map anymore. We might be able to get a Game Map similar to what you see in RPGMaker, or even simpler, like the one you see in most RenPy games that have a Sandbox. There might be other drawbacks that I am not aware of at the moment, but from the initial discussions with RenPy programmers, seems like all the other mechanics present in the game or planed for the game are doable in RenPy too. Now, I would like to ask for your opinion, do you think it would be good or bad to switch the RenPy.?
