Okay.
I decided to color these. I wanted to wait for the third one because I feel it has potential for a solo illustration.
Anyway...
I still don't have a name but here's a bit of my ideas for the colored version. I like the white hair but she doesnt look as tiger to me. Perhaps she needs the black to look sharper. Not as the hair ends but more like complete strokes. And also, the eyebrows should be darker.
Today I took a bit to start. I've been trying to adjust my hand strength to a lighter one because I feel it is healthier, especially with how long I'm drawing. And also, I wasn't liking the first results so I started two or three times but that's when it hit me.
There's something I can't remember if I talked before but I feel I'm stuck as an artist. I'm not saying I'm bad. It is just that I haven't been able to give that jump yet despite how much I draw.
In my opinion, it has to do with my perfectionism. Despite me improving a lot from the early days till now, I have never took big risks in my art.
I keep drawing on my safe zone and that has limit my growth.
My brother and I were talking the other day and he used this metaphor for something and someone else but I'll use it. It was something like:
"You know how to bounce the basketball, take your shot and take a pass. But you still doubt to make a cross behind your back, or challenge someone who's giving you trouble. Great ones do it but some get too scared"
I feel that is kinda my case. It is not that I draw bad or that my art is bad. It is that it needs that... push forward.
I guess that's why I'm trying this new OC too. I'm trying to push myself to express my "crush"/idol or whatever.
And thats why if u pay attention, the piece is not that rendered; very hard strokes and I decided to keep it that way.
My goal for March is that no matter what I do, is to draw every working day at least for an hour or two something that comes to my mind. Sex, ecchi, cute, fanart, practice and just... draw it.
Stop questioning if it is good content. Just draw. Start trying to make crossovers, not passing the basketball. Commit to being a superstar!
