Star Periphery's third anniversary!

DESCRIPTION

Hello, hello, dearest friends!

Since the actual anniversary (December 31st) had to wait because of the R7, let's finally sit down with a good drink and do this very special update today! Let's take a look at future plans, content both near and a bit more distant, and much more!

But first, please allow me to thank all of you here. It is because of your generous (and frankly still unbelievable) support, from both the old guards (I know who you are!) and newcomers, that Star Periphery can grow and improve. Thank you so much, it would be impossible without you all! Thank you, lovely people!

Now, as is tradition, let's start with the big three main topics from the past anniversary post!

1) The road to Part 2During the past year, SP made strides forwards to the end of Part 1. Both the improvements to the workflow and the tremendous help of the new dedicated programmer helped to flesh out what SP had and to plan more future stuff. It also led to the new roadmap (you can see/save the full version by right-click> open/save):

There are a few major changes to be aware of: 1) I have re-shuffled the releases so that the main cast is a more regular occurrence - starting with R7.8 with the traditional duo of Tess and Lise, both of which will be getting their threesome scene. Tessa with Markala, and Lise with Pike! 2) Another big change is that I have compressed the updates a little to make the development a bit snappier, spanned across less updates. And finally: 3) I have added some of the side content you can look forward to under the main ladies' icons!

That's about it for the roadmap!

2) The UI rework & other improvements

This brings us to the second point - last year, I promised that SP would be getting a new UI. As all of you know, I made good on that promise. However, there are two additional tasks remaining - Contacts and a dedicated trading/shop interface! So, let's take a quick peek at both!

A) Trading

As shown on a very early WIP with Anitta above, this one will work as a simple interface for you to buy and sell goods. Naturally, all traders will be interested in specific merchandise; Anitta, for example, won't buy some dirty, dusty thing you find in the Mines, but Klorm, the salvager, might. The trading interface will also be the first step on a more functional in-game economy, giving you a reason to look for items, to earn money, and more. All stores will also have unique interactions with each shopkeeper when buying or selling!

B) Contacts

The contacts have been a barebones temporary solution for a while, and it is time for an update! For now, it was basically just a way to check the ladies' character sheets, and while this functionality will be kept (though the sheets will be transferred directly into the game's UI), from now on, they will also serve two new purposes. The biggest change will be a new outfit viewer, which will work similarly to your own MC's inventory. However, in this case, you'll be able to unlock different outfits for all the ladies in the Contacts and view them from all angles. You will be able to unlock both of these both by just playing the game (for example, unlocking Iris' dominatrix outfit after you complete her Day 3), or by other means - buying the outfits, or finding them in-game! These will also unlock potential related scenes in the future!

Secondly, and that's something for the future, Contacts will ultimately serve as a way to message/call the ladies and have a little extra interaction with them!

Both of these new changes will be coming with the next update!

On a last note, the work with the hired music/sound designer is also shaping up nicely, so there will be a plethora of new sounds and music sprinkled all over future releases!

3) Steam & GOG release

The third point is a bit unhappy one, but one that still needs proper attention. I was originally planning to put Star Periphery on Steam during the last year, but regrettably, it did not happen. This was caused by my hesitation (very sorry about that!), and by something a lot of you are aware of, the big censorship wave of 2025. During the last year, Steam effectively stopped accepting erotic games in early access. And while there are rare exceptions that still get accepted, these are generally from developers who released multiple games on Steam already.

Where does that leave us? Well, basically, only one solution left, really! SP was always supposed to have three parts, so once Part 1 is complete, it will be released to Steam as a full game/season/similar!

GOG release is, however, still on the table!

4) Teasers!

And now for the best part! Let's take a look at some new spicy teasers for both Part 1 and Part 2 content!

The rest of Part 1 will have a bountiful content for the main ladies, especially when it comes to threesomes, including probably the most anticipated one:

Or a particularly sweaty, hard, and slippery foursome:

But others, much-awaited, are also preparing for their showtime. This time for good, not just a "bad" end and done!

As is tradition, the anniversary updates should also show some Part 2 teasers, so let's dig right into it!

One of the first stops you'll see is an unnamed planet deep into the Uncharted sectors. Despina crew uses it as a maintenance spot, but one selected a bit cheekily; the idyllic archipelagic world serves both as a place to do much-needed deep space checks on the ship, and to have a pleasant short vacation, too! During your stay, you'll be able to do all kinds of funny, interesting, and spicy activities; from making sure every curve of your favorite lady (or ladies!) is expertly covered with sunscreen, to exploring the abandoned Union science base, or diving with Lise:

A lot of adventure is to be had!

If the rougher, less civilized places are not for you, then maybe a refueling stop on the Ecara 17IC, an independent world near the Tarnian borders, would be more to your liking? Sure, it's "only" a gas giant, not a "real" planet, but the independent Tarnian colonists quickly utilized its natural resources, turning it into one of the more popular, prosperous stops for anyone coming from Uncharteds towards the Tarnian territory and vice versa.

Naturally, the fair blue people are used to a certain standard of living, and that includes their famous baths. The ones on Ecara are perhaps a bit modest compared to those found on actual Tarnian worlds, but still, it's a (wet & slippery) sight to behold anyway. You'll be able to explore in depth both their public areas (in the picture) and the steamy private (sometimes called breeding) pools, too. Both with the Despina ladies and the locals!

And that's about it for this special update! I hope you enjoyed it. Next time, we'll look at the upcoming Market update in greater detail! As always, much more to come for Star Periphery!

Finally, allow me to thank you all once again! I haven't talked about progress with animations (we'll have a special about that), or about the improvements to the workflow (also a new tech update on the way), but we'll deal with these soon!

And, as is tradition, let me wish you all a fantastic rest of the day, and take care!

Much love,VoidPilgrim ♡
