Hey guys,
The March Suggestion Pools/Polls won't be up, as I want to focus on finishing this month's commissions and Patron comic suggestion.
Also instead of an item sale I'll be doing the Pleasure Drone YCH animations.
For the past week I been having a sort of existential dread which has leave me very depressed and stressed. It's gotten to the point of me laying in bed awake for most of the day until I push myself to go to class, or draw.
There's a lot of things I want to do and create for you guys: animations, a webcomic, a secret project, etc. But all of my creative energy is put into creating at least 10 commissions each month, and the Patron drawing that are suppose to be an award for you guys. I do it because I'm afraid if I stop then I'll be sent back to where I started four years ago, barely making anything. I already feel stupid having to shove my Patreon link in almost every post I make as an attempt to get noticed.
Most of my panic has been around getting enough time and money to work on the projects I want to accomplish. For the past two years, it feels like I have to work everyday, between school, commissions, and my part time job. The little free time I do have is spent veggied out in my bed. I want to make a career in art, at least as a webcomic artist if not in the industry (which I doubt I'll ever make it in given my reputation). I'll be graduating this year, and I feel very unprepared and very scared. It feels like the only way I can survived in this capitalist society is if I quit art together to work a 9 to 5, probably something all artist fear.
I want to take time to finish making the assets for the secret project, and webcomic prologue, and maybe character sheets for a real portfolio, or at least an attempt on one, and I'm burning out so quick just trying to balance so much on my plate.
I understand if this makes you want to stop supporting me for the time being, but please understand but this is what's keeping me from shutting down and ghosting everyone altogether. Hopefully by the time Spring break begins I'll feel better.
Thank you for understanding
