Hey everyone, Jason here with an update just for UK Patrons. If US, sorry to bug you. Up until now everyone was combined in one level, but going forward we will be fixing this.
The short version of this update is that we're no longer shipping from our UK hub and the costs for a fulfillment center are quite high, so we have to make some big changes in how we handle things.
The bad news is we need to have everyone from the UK move to a new reward level.
Please choose one of the following ASAP, ideally before the end of the month. (We will be bugging everyone here and by email if you don't switch.)
Wallet Games Every Two Months (UK only)
Button Shy Supporter (Worldwide)
Digital Only (Worldwide)
Here's how to do it if you need assistance. You basically need to go to your membership tab and make the change. https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/218202363-How-to-edit-your-membership-tiers
The worse news is that the UK Wallet Game level will ship every two months.
The costs are very high for these fulfillment services, so it only makes sense to bundle these packages. There are lots of questions like "what happens if I switch my reward level or cancel in the middle of a two month period?" For now the answer is that we'll work with each on an individual basis, but if you don't plan to join for a long term, please consider one of the other levels instead. With this in mind, I believe all packages need to be identical so we will have to phase out the ability to swap the featured game. If that is important to you, please consider another reward level.
The worst news is that it needs to go up $5 per month.
For the third time now (sorry), this is costly to get games over there and have a company ship them out. We did this ourselves and it wasn't feasible to continue, but we found a way to try and keep it going... it's just costly. We apologize about the costs, but please keep in mind that it's costly to ship things internationally.
That's about all of it. This is unfortunate and frustrating and we apologize for the uncertainty and the urgent timing. It's a big cost of doing business and dealing with all of the moving parts, and not ideal at all. If you have any questions let me know. We don't have all of the answers yet, as this is trying something all new.
Oh and one last thing. We're going to try this for a few months and see if it works out. Fingers are crossed, and if all goes well, we keep it going for good. We will let everyone know once the first packages start arriving with this new method. And for the US patrons that read this far... I knew you would! Haha
