Been a bit of a hell journey. The first urgent care certainly minimized my pain from telling me to just take Tylenol and wait for their MRI, that would be this Saturday and then a follow up on July 5th… I would never had made it with that pain.
From last update pain ratcheted up to a near constant 10 last Saturday. 2 trips to the ER, first ER said it was just muscle issues, gave me muscle relaxers that didn’t do anything. Seconds ER said it was likely nerve related with pressure, gave me a cymbalta, which caused a major emotional breakdown and extreme ticks and I don’t remember much of it but my Partner says the only thing that helped calm me down was a lamp light being on. They also gave me a referral to another specialist urgent care where they did everything in their power to get me an MRI asap the same day and have insurance cover it. I got that done on Monday. Results in on Tuesday and follow up was yesterday for course of action.
I actually have two bulging disks in my lower back putting pressure on nerves so I was having constant pain and cramping in my thigh while my knee and below have been mostly numb. Walking safely has been hard and I’ve been on crutches. My corgi would like to kill them.
This morning I got my treatment of a steroid shot that should take a week to two weeks to help clear things up.
So I should be on the mend soon and I hope to never ever experience this kind of pain ever again.
Here’s to getting back on track and I can’t thank you enough for your continued support through this.
