I've made passing mention to a fictional restaurant "Luther's BBQ & Grill" that Bubba works serves as mascot/spokesman (calls himself "Bubba Luther"). One of the inspirations for Bubba is a man named Blair Rivers, the late spokesman of the Heart Attack Grill, and Blair had some commercials where his gluttony and size were played up/emphasized but I always admired how it framed him as being proud of his fatness. Because of this inspiration, I've always liked the idea of Bubba doing something similar. The concept of Luther's BBQ & Grill comes from those small business BBQ/Burger restaurants one would come across passing through the middle of nowhere in the South or Midwest. They always have over-the-top ads/promotions. Which was the basis for this idea.
The reason the name is "Luther" (I probably have mentioned it before at this point haha but just in case) comes from the phrase "Luther Burger", or the Donut Burger. Called that because singer Luther Vandross allegedly asked for a burger with two donuts serving as the buns.
