We're thrilled to announce that Pybricks for EV3 is now in early access for our MINDSTORMS Legends. So grab an EV3, install Pybricks, and start building!
What can you make?
Everything you love about Pybricks is now coming to EV3. You can code with Python and blocks. You can even mix them for endless possibilities.
The EV3 is incredibly fast now, and you don't need to install any tools on your computer to use it. We can't wait to see what you'll build.
What's supported?
All EV3 motors and sensors are supported, including LEGO Education EV3 devices.
NXT sensors are supported! Third-party sensors like those from HiTechnic or Mindsensors work too. We'll add examples of how to use them in time.
Installation
Installation is easy. No need for microSD cards or special drivers.
To get started, click Install Pybricks Firmware on the settings tab, and follow the instructions.
What's next?
All core functionality like motor and sensor support is complete. But there's still plenty of work left to do. In the coming months, we'll be working on Bluetooth support, documentation, and EV3 example projects. Let us know if your favorite feature is not yet available!
