I'm currently working on the finale to Apocalypse XL's story, which should be done within a month or two. It'll be one of the game's larger and more ambitious updates, with the final confrontation with our favorite brain demon. It's pretty cool! Get excited!
After the ending is finished there's a few more sidequests I want to add to the game, so there'll be one last update after the finale. After that, I intend to start working on my next game immediately!
"Cascadia XL" is a mystery horror adventure game similarly to Apocalypse XL. Piper and Haru are two women who've narrowly escaped an alien abduction that left them with mutant and cybernetic alterations. They're lost in the woods, the sun never seems to rise, and things they can't explain watch from between the pines. At least there's a lifetime supply of marshmallows in this cabin that hopefully nobody already lives in.
The game will have more in-depth team building and RPG mechanics compared to Apocalypse XL. I've planned out an element system, character classes, and a bunch of unique moves. Irradiate your opponents to fuel your own attack power. Belch so loud your enemies go fucking deaf. Swallow small monsters whole to restore your HP. Assemble the perfect team to defeat bosses that won't go down just by punching them and require smart thinking to outplay. Equip cybernetics, mutagenic catalysts, and esoteric baubles to boost your stats and obtain new moves. Shoot aliens. Shoot gnomes. But absolutely not alien gnomes.
Cascadia XL is not a sequel to Apocalypse XL and you don't need to play one before the other. That doesn't mean they aren't connected, though. You might see some familiar faces in this strange new world. They definitely see you.
Stay tuned for more!
