Hey! Exciting news for all of you players who like and also dislike minigames. I am completely revamping two of the minigames: the hacking minigame and the speech check minigame.
So, let's get into what's different.
The minigame with the most difficulty has been the unjumble the word game for speech checks. It's just too hard for some players, and that's fine and understandable! So, now, players don't have to guess the word completely. Instead, a grid of 20 options is provided to the player, with the word almost unjumbled but with a few errors. The player has to find the right word and simply click on it, much simpler and faster. Now, there is no need to have knowledge of complex words to figure it out.Of course, this might still be unfriendly towards dyslexic players. For them, there is a solution which I shall tell you at the end of this post.
The other minigame, my first one ever in this game, has been the hacking minigame, which works like Wordle but with numbers instead. This has had a drastic UI change; the current UI honestly just is SO BAD. And it was so annoying to click on the numbers in order to change them. Also, more annoyingly, you have to cycle through the entire 0-9 digits to get to the number you want. Spam clicking on the PC would select the text and bring up random options and other nonsense. No more! Now you have a flashy number pad display that is easy for both PC and mobile users to click and input the code. Also, a "History" box has been added, which tracks what the player has already guessed and the digits' correctness (red, yellow or green). This box will unlock once the player has computer skills of 15 or above.
Okay, fine, you still just don't like minigames? It's cool, the game setting to switch them off is still included when you start a new game. But you all might notice a difference. You can now choose individual minigames to skip or not. So, you might like the hacking minigame and the struggle minigame, but you still dislike the speech check minigame? That's fine! You can simply choose to skip only the speech check minigames and play the rest as normal. This is how dyslexic players can still experience the other minigames without worrying about the speech checks.
Thanks for reading! Share the game around with your friends, more support, more time I can dedicate to the game and keep the action going :)
