No one wanted TIghnari on the team and he knew that. Since he couldnt even compare to the greatest 5 stars he understood that his purpose was to be crushed under his superior teamates. Its not like anyone would miss him on their team anyway.
Its a shame Lauma didnt even notice his sacrifice.
