Zinsey Squoggy [+bonus, +sketch, +timelapse]

Oliver commissioned this painting for his friend who was dying of cancer, to remember him by. His nickname was Zinsey Squoggy.

Oliver also did some dark retro tech magic and took those photos:

Converting images involves a lot of fancy algorithms and hand optimization to select the right color palettes and dithering and such. Worth it.

Just looked it up: it's Philips NMS 8250 from 1987 with an 8 bit Z80 CPU at 3.579 MHz, 128kB RAM, and a Yamaha V9938 video display processor.
