LOPs 0.3.0
Hey everyone, LOPs 0.3.0 is live.
LOPs is a growing family of operators for TouchDesigner that enables building agents, tool systems, voice/speech, retrieval, flow/state, and authorable systems directly inside TD.
This is the first big drop on Patreon since 0.1.1. Nearly every component has grown considerably and is designed for smoother workflows, with many operators now supporting custom modules . Super special thanks to the early testers and experimenters that have requested features and fixes, especially over the past few weeks!
A quick list of what has changed since 0.1.1:
- Agent (any llm), Voice Agent (4 providers), Claude Code (agent sdk) all work with same tools.
- MCP client/server (connect with anything) + all built in tools improved
- New unified STT and TTS operators
- Search, RAG, and graph tools
- Flow and state operators
- Prompts, skills, and profiles
- Custom modules across many operators
- ActivityViz for inspecting agent and tool activity live

For new and past LOPs users, installation is much simpler now. No prerequisites needed other than internet connection. Open the dot_lops panel (plus in bottom right of operator) and do the following in the UI >> Click Environment, choose a folder, hit Install (will download UV if you don't have on path). The sidecars (like STT/TTS) use isolated environments with their own simple one-click install the first time you need to use those operators.
My Updater operator has a sign-in option now too (find in the op create dialog as ^ Updater). I'll be using it for per-operator updates and new operators, projects/examples and more (nothing downloads automatically).
There is a ton to unpack in this especially with workflows / examples / setups. There will be video tutorials, and more projects/setups coming soon. In the meantime, you can catch me talking through TDFam and LOPs at DATLABNYC this past thursday (30:20-50:00): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfPeOtGXylI
This is a quickly evolving toolset. If you run into install issues or bugs, post in Discord (in #trouble-shoot-central) and tag @dotsimulate with your OS, TD version, what step failed, and any screenshots or info that you think will be helpful.
Excited to show off more LOPs tricks and see what the community builds.
