Hey guys, here's an update from me for April.
First off, Happy Easter! I hope you get lots of chocolate eggs, even if Cadbury's takes like sick now. ;)
For a recap, March was kind of slow as I was mostly finishing off my last commission from January. I also had something come up IRL that caused about a week's break from doing anything, so my apologies for March being a little dry art-wise. That said, I have a few pieces on the back burner that I'm planning on getting done this month. I've attached the WIPs here for you to take a peek at. ;)
My plan is to get these done over this month as a base, which I think should be doable as they're well on the way to getting finished. Not to overpromise, I had thought of doing another " Ask the Character " comic segment, too, though we'll see how long these pieces take. I'll do a Pol for this soon on here in the coming week as it's been too long since the last.
Currently outside of furry art, my IRL job has been quite patchy lately as the project we've been working on is coming to an end this month. I still don't know what's next, which is just the nature of being self-employed and working under a contract within the gaming industry. Most jobs are now simple clean-ups on backgrounds we've already rendered, and I only get them passed onto me when they're noticed by our test team.
So I can't say for sure how busy I will be in the coming months with work. I'm expecting things to be quiet, which is good for my personal projects that get posted here at least, but there is a real possibility they have no new projects with me going forward, so, yeah, have to see.
I have also decided not to attend Confuzzled this year, mostly due to costs for accommodation, travel and print restock (it costs me £260 for a full 50 page restock alone). I was only able to get an offer for a dealer's table on a single day, which realistically, I doubt I'd make the money back from attending, and while work is patchy, I can't be too risky with money.
Lastly, and this is me spoiling, I guess, but I am slowly starting an Etsy print shop. This should go live next month after I have paid my taxes for April. I'll be sure to announce this, but yeah, maybe soon, I can start selling prints online, which should be exciting. :)
