HELLO, dear bros. This will basically and mostly be a proof-of-life post, but I think that’s quite alright considering the long-ass Monday Post I shared last Monday. Speaking of which, was it really a week ago already? I could swear I finished writing it and hit the publish button only a couple of days ago. No, seriously! Is what I read on the internet the other day true? Is the Earth speeding up and time flowing faster and faster? It sure feels like it! Yes, that must be it! The internet is never wrong!
SHOP/GALLERY. As usual, first things first: this week’s new shop item is another illustration from my old XBOX EXPO series of illustrations! Go check it out if you are on the SUPPORTER_PLUS tier or higher :) Moving on!
THE GAMES. I continue to play Luminous Arc 3. I am 27 hours into the game, and up until now there were almost no personal romance events. Most of the side dating events were friendly or just plain funny, and I was beginning to get worried. But it finally happened. First, the fortune-teller lady came onto me. There was zero buildup to it, to be honest, but that made her (basically) love confession a nice surprise that I did not see coming. There was even a CG, but I was so surprised by the whole event that I forgot to take a picture of it. And then there was a nice little event where I got to grope the princess’s butt a bit. Good stuff. I am happy ^^
THE WORK. On the work side of things, last week I was mostly busy finalizing Kimmy’s emotions and importing them into the game. MrLazare provided another wonderful AI slop picture illustrating the process of me working on this. I used it as the cover illustration for this post. The high-resolution version can be found in the attachment to this post.
WORK (2). I usually put a lot of love, care, and time into working on the characters’ facial expressions. Seriously, this stuff takes a lot of work, but you only need to do it once for each character. Also, I hate realizing that I don’t have an emotion fitting a certain scene and having to go back and make more, so I always try to create as many variations as possible, even though some of them may end up unused in the end ^^
AND THAT’S IT. As of right now, I have actually already finished importing all the art assets for both Kimmy and Tiffany into the game. I also finished coding the interview scenes for both girls. From this point on, I plan to spend a few days writing the main story. It’s very likely that I won’t have any new art assets to show by next Monday, so expect another proof-of-life post with me gushing over Luminous Arc 3 again or something like that. You have been warned :) And thank you for your support, bros. You are the best. I think Reporter Trainer will be my prettiest-looking game yet, and it will all be thanks to you. So thank you, and I will see you next Monday ^_^ Laterz.
