442 - Another Busy Week.
HELLO there, dear bros. It's Monday again, and you know what that means. I had another busy week. Some IRL stuff has really been keeping me busy lately. At first, I thought I'd whine to you about it a little, but then I changed my mind. Maybe in another post. The bottom line is that I wasn't able to accomplish nearly as much work as I'd hoped. -_-
THE GALLERY. This week's new gallery item is an NSFW illustration based on the Naruto anime. I may be mistaken, but I feel like this is one of my lesser-known pieces. I HATE YAHOO SO MUCH! Just when I thought those damn corpos couldn't get any scammier, they proved me wrong. I got a message saying that the Notepad feature will be deleted soon. I could understand it if they were shutting down something like a photo storage feature (if the had it). That would be scummy too, but photos (unlike Notepad) actually take up storage space. I mean, how difficult is it to just keep a feature that's been there for decades?
LIVEJOURNAL. I got an email from LiveJournal saying that my account had turned 20 years old. I hadn't logged into it for about seven years, and yet it still exists and works as intended. I could even add a new entry right now if I wanted to, without having to pay for any subscriptions. Even though I don't plan to return to LiveJournal anytime soon, I appreciate this approach. And who knows? Maybe one day I'll start posting there again. You never know.
FORTNITE. I am ashamed to admit that I play Fortnite regularly. Well, maybe "play" is too strong of a word. Every now and then, Smersh and I just run around the map while chatting. We treat it more like a chat room than an actual online game. Anyway, I don't know what happened, but they finally released some skins that actually look okay. Not amazing, but definitely better than anything they've released up to this point. Lol. Since I play a lot but never buy anything in the game, I had around 8,000 V-Bucks saved up. So when these skins dropped, I bought the Ivy/Harley Quinn bundle. I didn't buy the Catwoman one because, for some reason, they gave her weird granny panties instead of proper swimsuit bottoms. But Ivy and Harley are alright.
KYOTO XANADU. When I first saw the news about this game, I thought it was some Chinese knockoff. But no, it's actually a legitimate new game by Nihon Falcom. Not gonna lie, I got really excited at first because I love Tokyo Xanadu. Unfortunately, after doing some research, I realized that I hate everything about this one—how it looks, how it plays, and what it's about. What a shame. Even Japanese new games rarely spark any interest in me these days. -_-
LUMINOUS ARC 3. I did it! I beat the final boss and got the ending with the character I wanted. I wish the ending scene had been a bit longer, but at least it didn't leave me with an "Is that all?" feeling like Fire Emblem: Three Houses did with their ugly end-game CGs. So yeah, almost 60 hours and only a 44% completion rate. The gallery is still full of locked CGs. Overall, I leave this game with very positive feelings and will definitely revisit it someday to play New Game+, but for now I need to find a new main game to play. Thankfully, I already have quite a few lined up. Retro gamers eat good. XD
LAST WEEK'S POST. Thank you for all the comments on last week's post. I've already replied to some of them and plan to reply to the rest soon. Listening to your feedback made me realize that doing an episodic release right now would only hurt the project. I might revisit that idea later down the line, but for now I'll just concentrate on the work. Releasing a demo also sounds interesting, but again, not right now.
AND THAT'S IT. Like I already mentioned, last week I was busy with IRL stuff, but I still managed to get some work done. Mostly writing and coding, so no exciting screenshots this time either. Maybe in the next post. Thank you for your support, cherished bros. I'll see you all next Monday. Laterz.
