Hey everyone.
As you all know, this Patreon exists mainly to post updates, share uncut versions of videos, and give people a way to support the channel. Without it, I simply wouldn't be able to make most of what I make the way I want to make it. So I've always been adament about giving full access to everything here for as cheap as possible. However, as part of my continuing efforts to revamp the channel (and because I'd like to become more financially independent from YouTube) I've recently decided to add more tiers.
I've never wanted to come up with additional content to justify anything more expensive than $1, and adding tiers with no benefits has felt strange, because Patreon does technically have the option to increase your pledge anyways. However, the process of paying-what-you-want has become increasingly complicated, so I figured higher tiers is much easier.
The New Tier System
The new tiers will be $1, $5, and $10 USD per month.
At $1/mo you will still get full access to everything on the Patreon. This means Director's Cuts, updates, polls, etc. All posts are available to you instantly, and all videos will be available at the same time as the YouTube upload.
At $5/mo you will get your name in the credits + early access to select videos. The former is mostly because the credits has become increasingly long, and I would rather keep it from being a 30 second blur of names each time. The latter is because I usually only post Patreon versions of videos about a day before the YouTube upload, while I wait for copyright/sponsor approval. So having a video 24hrs early feels like a nice additional benefit.
At $10/mo your name in the credits will be a different color. You don't get to choose which one, so don't ask.
NOTE: Everyone who was pledged to the $1/mo tier before the change has been automatically upgraded to the $5/mo tier at no additional charge. You will still only pay $1/mo until you cancel your membership, and you will retain all previous benefits, so essentially nothing changes for you.
If you are an upgraded member and would like actually pay the $5 (or more), you can still increase your pledge by clicking the Upgrade button on my page, and selecting a different amount. If you are pledging more than $10/mo feel free to change to that tier to actually get more benefits.
