Hey everyone, how are you all doing? As always, here’s the monthly update… This time I fixed a TON of bugs that had been around for a long time, and I just didn’t have time to deal with them before... but thanks to our testers finding them, they’re finally fixed!
Also, we’ve got some new additions that are gonna give the game a fresh new vibe. You can check them out below!
But yeah… spoiler warning!!
Major Updates:
New entrance for the mall and the complex! Now we’ve got a much more stylish entrance that fits the game’s lore, and it also expands the lore a lot more too… with the new cyberpunk vibe, it gives way more context to the world around Aurora Mall and how much power AnimaCorp has in the city of Auravel!
New entrance to the Backrooms! It’s not hidden anymore as an Easter egg inside the ball pit, now it’s a proper location that actually fits the game’s lore, and it also comes with a new puzzle you’ll have to solve to get in! (info: in higher graphic settings, the sliders may be bugged? just grab them a little to the left and it will work!)
New character! The Backrooms are even more dangerous now with a character that’s gonna keep showing up as you progress through the game… One that already exists in Backrooms lore: the entity Deathmoth shows up to take you out in the Backrooms, but also seems weirdly interested in your survival instinct… and, uh… other reasons too.
There are some smaller new additions that you’ll only notice by actually playing! So yeah, you can replay everything all over again… or jump straight into Chapter 2!
Basically, you can start right away with some keys, keycards, items, and special abilities, and explore the complex your own way!
