July Patron Poll and Monthly Projects Announcement

DESCRIPTION

Hey all.

It is the first of July.  That means it is time to post July’s three polls.  I thought to take that a step further this month, because of a few Real Life stuff that’ll be happening this month at the end of the month and because of what happened with .  I will be losing the 22nd to the 27th entirely on a family thing.  I have an elderly family member who can no longer really take care of her house, and is getting rid of stuff, moving out, and so forth.  I’ll be busy being free muscle for that project, and I doubt I’ll have more than an hour or two every day to myself for other things.  That is going to cut down on my time badly, on top of other family related things that will be taking out days here and there.

Because of that, I am going to be closing the Patron Only Poll, which you will find below, on the 5th.  I know that’s really quick, but if I can get to it quickly, I hope to get it done and out to the editors just as quickly.

… and let’s face it, Death’s Avenger is probably going to win, and it’s gonna be a combat heavy chapter so getting to it quickly would be really nice.

The Ranma poll isn’t going to be effected much, because I can (normally) limit the chapter size of those fics easier.  The Ranma poll will be my second priority this month.

The HP poll also won’t be effected in terms of the stories within this month.  My muse is still revolting but I will be putting my votes down on Fate Touched.  I want to both bring that fic to the close of it’s latest arc, and probably won’t have time to devote to Magic.

Prior to all of that, I will be working on a few things for my fans here:

1. Updated character pages for Bhaalson Remodel.  The formatting is going to be interesting there, and I will be asking questions about what you all think about what it looks like from the get go. But it needs to be done, as I am in danger of losing the plot there, and I hope these pages help you all as much as it will me.

2. But Vimesenthusiast what about FILFy, I hear you ask.  Well, I had an editor volunteer and look the last chapter over then actually get it back to me.  I will be looking at that too. If it sparks my muse, we’ll see. Similarly, an editor got chapter 30 of Magic back to me, and I will be going through it over the next few days.

3. Finishing going over Journey Gone Astray 4 to post over on fanfic.  I’ve worked on this a bit already, but I want to finalize and put that up this month.  I also want to go over Climbing Together Chapter 4 and 5.  Hiryo got those chapters back to me after going over them for a second time, and there are a few things I need to change.  My writing style’s also evolved since then, just like from Journey.  I might move this to after finishing the Patron Poll, though, depending on time.

4.  Respond to some comments on various threads here.

5. Because one of you lovely patrons volunteered to try and act like a editor for it, I want to finalize the second chapter of Going off the Rails.  Adding some more survival stuff, editing the Harry portion, redoing (like editing only squared) the Sidious fight to more match his style, enhance the Tonks segment, etc.  I also want to think of some FIRM rules for the shift from HP-style magic, to SW Force powers, and brainstorm about some long term questions about the fic in general.

6. Finally, is to FINALLY start on bringing over more fics from fanfic to Ao3.  I had… issues updating Bhaalson Remodel – still one chapter behind from here – and Heroes of the High Seas for some reason.  Didn’t enjoy it.  I’ve also been wanting to do this for a while, but didn’t have the time.  I figure I should bring over a few of my older fics first, then get the rest done slowly.

There are a few other small things to work on, but those are the major ones. The last two I may be able to do during family time at the end of the month. We will see.

Now, here is the Patron only poll:

King of Champions – HP/RWBY Crossover: Shocked and furious at the knowledge that the silver-eyed warrior wants to leave Beacon, Ozpin attempts to plug the gaping wound but far too late. After being lambasted by Yang and dealing with Ruby’s tears, Ozpin and Harry have a final talk, which goes nowhere, but ossifies their positions toward one another further. With Ozpin having no legal recourse to stop the exodus, it occurs, and Harry, his ‘Grand Company’ and Arturia head for Mistral and then home.  This is not as easy or as pleasant as it should have been, with Grimm causing trouble, then the popularity of two of Harry’s ladies.  Mobs annoy, reporters infuriate, but families are reunited and the last leg of the journey undertaken while Pyrrha makes estensive use of the mute button, still riding the high of joining the mile high club. Back in Evig Låga, quarters are discussed along with more important plans, and Harry finds himself hard at work.  Pyrrha and the others also find themselves put to work, guarding the expansion zone, while elsewhere, the Branwen clan start to make plans, Cinder makes contact with Arthur Watts, and Grimm start to gather.

Climbing Together – Ranma/KoF/Street Fighter crossover: Battered and feeling the sting of defeat as well as their various wounds, Mai and Shampoo are reconciled to their various injuries by Ranma’s taking care of them for a time, resulting in a truly glorious time for all. Ranma’s thoughts when away from the girls, however, are somewhat red-tinged, thus when they eventually get to Manila after several days at sea – interspersed by several random events - Ranma goes hunting for more than just a place to keep the toughness training going.  While this doesn’t lead anywhere, as Vega is not after them once more just yet, having his own issues, Ranma’s search and the girls own efforts to go unseen work out well.  Shampoo decides to try and get in touch with one of her countrymen who proved to be honorable back in China, while Ranma calls E. Honda, and Mai makes new friends/rivals. A tournament occurs, which eventually pits Ranma against Shampoo in the final match, leading to a massive influx of cash, a new area to set up for their toughness training, and Mai needing to make good on a bet much to both Ranma and Shampoo’s delight.

Death’s Avenger – HP/World of Warcraft crossover: - Harry and his companions wing northward, heading home, during which some moments make things a little tense between dragoness and chimera. However, any such thoughts or ideas go out the window when they stop one day and Harry’s messenger tube glows. Speed becomes of the essence at that point, while Harry comes up with ideas of how to transport large numbers of Unseen Path members without treating Versera like a beast of burden. Meanwhile, Tyrande and her companions are filled with horror as the Unseen Path tells them what they faced deeper in towards Vordrassil. An experiment follows, which elicits a response, forcing a hasty, and bloody retreat. Distance plays to the kaldorei strengths but the campaign is very much in doubt for a while until aid unlooked for arrives. Dragon fire proves a great deterrent to everything, while to the south, Harry and company arrive at Trueshot Lodge to find that the small valley’s entire population is ready to go to war, greatly expanding Harry’s resources.  The Harpy/Path alliance travels to Northrend, dealing with unexpected attacks by rocs and being shot at by vrykul before finally arriving and following their map, heading to Vordrassil.

Hmm… well, I’d like to write up Climbing I feel my votes would be better served for Fate.  Then too, it might still have a chance… wait, who’s getting the carry-over effect again? … nope.

Death’s Avenger will be getting ¼ Carry-over effect, which is 361.  Yeah… even with the HP votes being split, I don’t see it losing.

Yes, I am trying to tempt fate in this poll.

Anyway, as said, this poll will end on the 5th.    I should be able to get the Ranma poll up soon, followed by the HP poll.
