This was one of our weirdest investigations yet but it was also the first time we had a LIVE investigation on the show.
To help you come to your own conclusion we’ve gathered up all our research notes right here BUT FIRST… you’ve got to watch the trailer of the cursed Kleenex advert (don’t watch at midnight.)
Weird huh? Reminds me of some of the nightmares a have when I eat too much sushi before bed. I know what you’re wondering - “How much sushi do you eat Rory?” Well the answer is a lot. Nowadays I don’t even eat sushi I just grab a fish from the river ‘Gollum style’ and chow down.
Anyway back to the advert… We’ve got:
A child dressed as a Japanese Ogre
A strange woman trying to cheer him up
Some weird Kleenex tissue that just floats away
On paper that doesn’t sound toooo creepy, but combined with “It’s a Fine Day” by Jane Lancaster makes me want to go hide in a dark cave GOLLUM STYLE. (I’ve been doing a lot of things Gollum style recently.)

The full lyrics are even creepier and the video seems to be about a war widow who misses her husband. Doesn’t that just scream KLEENEX?
One thing I didn’t get a chance to mention on the podcast is that almost ALL of the rumors surrounding the advert and what happened to the crew are totally false -
The baby did NOT die
The actress Keiko Matsuzaka is still alive and acting today
No bad luck or curses befell the crew (including a sauna death)
