Rain rain rain
It's been raining like crazy in Mexico City recently and wanted to do something rain related due to my recent experiences of getting stuck under trees and market awnings until the rain stops because, even though having to walk around under a storm gave me the foresight to buy a new umbrella, that didn't give me the foresight to grab it when I go out the door.
So I guess it is a drawing about how nice it'd be to be more like Zara who apparently does carry her umbrella with her.
Though tbh, this one might actually have been a photoshoot type deal as the picture does give an album cover vibe.
There's multiple versions of this one because at first I had this idea of the picture being just two colors with mostly blue and just the yellow details taking advantage of Zara's minimalistic color palette, and I first drew her smiling, but after working on it for some time, I felt the vibe of the composition would make a bit more sense as a sad thing, and after changing her expressions I felt like the colours would work better a little more toned down.
And then I tried going a bit more minimalistic.
