Hi everyone!
I just received an from Patreon email informing me that, starting this month, changes to Apple's in-app purchase system are taking effect.
This means that if you subscribe via the iOS app, Apple will charge a 30% fee. ➝ To avoid this fee, you can subscribe using your mobile browser (Chrome, Safari, pc, etc.) and still use the app after that!
Existing memberships won’t be affected—this fee only applies to new memberships purchased through the Patreon iOS app after November 4, 2024.
(Neither creators nor Patreon receive any part of this 30% fee—it goes entirely to Apple)
