[Get me out of here!]
In the dimly lit room, there were moments when a sound echoed, reminiscent of metal clashing against metal. Most of the time, the atmosphere was so quiet it felt eerie. But then, there would always be that one impatient and restless person who couldn't hold back any longer. They'd open their mouths and let their thoughts spill out, breaking the silence with whatever was on their mind.
After enduring the harsh conditions, the people stuck in the room couldn't resist sharing their thoughts, which occasionally sparked a rather tense feud among them.
"What do you think will happen to us? From the very beginning, I had this nagging feeling that trusting him was a mistake... Fuck!... Fuck!... Arghhh!"
Everyone could sense the man's frustration hanging in the air, yet not one person felt inclined to offer any words of comfort. Instead, they felt a sense of happiness and satisfaction as they watched their comrade gradually being consumed by regret.
"Damn it!... Damn it!... Get me out of here!... Hey, I know you can hear me!" Mister 3's annoyance quickly escalated into full-blown anger, his voice rising in volume with each passing moment. He began to curse at someone who wasn't even present, letting his frustration spill over into the air around him.
At first, the people around him paid him no mind, but soon enough, they all found themselves in agreement: his piercing screams were definitely shaking up their comfort. So, it was only a matter of time before one of them finally snapped.
"Can you shut the hell up! Or do you want me to blow you up before they get a chance to do anything to you?" Mister 5 threatened. A deep voice emerged from a shadowy corner of the room, accompanied by the unsettling sound of a chain-like rattle.
Mister 5 is known for his unique ability granted by the Bomu Bomu no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit. This fascinating fruit allows him to generate powerful explosions from any part of his body, or even from his entire body, all without causing himself any harm. Additionally, he enjoys the remarkable advantage of being completely immune to explosions and any attacks that rely on explosive force.
Despite everything, nobody seemed concerned or displayed even the faintest hint of a reaction. Instead, they reacted with apparent disdain at his threat.
"Your threats don't faze me. It's kind of amusing, actually. You, who can't see the difference in strength between us, aren't worth my time," Mister 3 replied, his tone dripping with arrogance. It seemed like having someone to poke fun at helped him unwind just a bit.
This wasn't the first time Mister 3 had found himself in a heated argument with the others in the room. It was almost as if they shared a silent understanding because, without a word, they all turned their gazes toward Mister 1, who was chained up right next to Mister 3.
It was as if their wish had come true. Mister 1, who had been sitting there with his eyes closed, suddenly sprang into action. He lifted his leg high into the air and brought it crashing down right onto Mister 3's head.
"You know, unlike them, even though this damn Seastone has taken away my ability too, I can still take you down with just my raw strength," Mister 1 said, his tone flat and unwavering. Despite coming off as arrogant, his expression remained unchanged. He viewed the situation unfolding before him as just a minor issue, hardly something to get worked up over.
As Mister 3 lay sprawled on the floor, looking utterly defeated, the sole woman in the room seized the moment to taunt him. "Just look at you," she said with a smirk. "I can't believe someone as pathetic as you actually made it to number 3 in the organization. So, it turns out that Mr. 0 can actually be mistaken when it comes to judging people, huh?"
The voice that emerged from her lips had a high-pitched, almost child-like quality to it. As soon as everyone in the room heard that, their expressions shifted to frowns, and it felt like the already dim space grew even more somber. They could already sense what was coming the moment this woman began to speak.
Despite that, there was one remark from her that didn't quite align with Mister 1, and he wasted no time in addressing it head-on. "Miss Merry Christmas," he said firmly, "I warn you to be careful in your speech!"
"Oh, I totally forgot that you're mister 0's right-hand guy! It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that you still want to stand up for him, especially now that we're facing the possibility of being locked away in what feels like the worst place imaginable."
Miss Merry Christmas holds a notable position as one of the officer agents in the organization, enjoying a fairly high rank. Right now, she's partnered with Mister 4, a tall and sturdy man, who is currently fast asleep beside her. Being the oldest in the organization, she has a certain boldness when it comes to critiquing their boss that the others might not feel as comfortable expressing.
"We're in this mess because of our own mistakes. Pointing fingers at Mister 0 won't change the reality that we were defeated by those marines," Mister 1's words hit hard, serving as a wake-up call for everyone, even if they were reluctant to admit their loss.
As things started to settle down, the man who had been quietly leaning against the wall beneath the window, which offered a glimpse of the outside world, suddenly sprang to his feet. He began to speak, but his words came out in a jumbled mess that didn't quite make any sense.
"Hmm... where are we? Don't joke with me... I haven't even revealed all my Okama Kenpo techniques yet!"
Mister 2, who had been dozing off for the past few days, would occasionally stir awake, looking half-delirious and a bit out of it. It felt like his dreams were mostly filled with nightmares, where he found himself in battles against someone. That's probably why he struck a fighting pose now.
Similar to the others, his face was marked by bruises and patches of dried blood that had been left uncleaned. His situation was definitely worse, but surprisingly, his spirit remained unshaken, even with the gloomy atmosphere surrounding him. He didn't lose at all.
Even though he was someone who talked actively he stood apart from the frantic outbursts and all the negativity that Mister 3 brought to the table. He often shared a bunch of positive comments, and from time to time, he would crack jokes that, sadly, didn't seem to get much of a reaction from anyone.
After his unexpected and somewhat ridiculous defeat at the hands of Luffy and his crew, Mister 2 was resolute in his quest to sharpen his skills. And that's exactly what he was focused on at this moment.
Gripping the iron bar hanging from the ceiling, he began to pull himself up, one rep at a time. Whenever he managed to lift his body, he could catch a glimpse of the scenery outside the window. This turned into a sort of busyness for him, and it ended up being quite useful.
The endless stretch of blue brought a sense of calm to Mister 2's heart. He allowed himself to truly feel the waves crashing against the ship, embracing the rhythm of the ocean beneath him. His thoughts wandered between memories of his early days as a novice, honing his skills in Okama Kenpo, and the moment he became a part of Baroque Works.
"Hmm, I wonder how many days have gone by? Whenever one of the marines dropped by to bring us our meals, they always reassured us that we were getting closer to our destination. Honestly, I still can't believe the fact that we're going to be sent to Impel Down."
No one could say for sure if Mister 2 was simply having a conversation with himself or them, but everyone held back from responding. It wasn't until someone else, who also had their own uncertainties, finally spoke up and shared what was on his mind that the silence broke.
"So far, it feels like they're just toying with us. What is that brat Luffy up to when he splits us from the women?" Mister 5 said, clearly annoyed. Ever since they departed from the island, his partner, Miss Valentine, seemed to have vanished without a trace.
He then discovered that she, along with Miss Doublefinger, Miss Goldenweek, and Miss All Sunday, was locked away in separate rooms. Even though they were colleagues who often found themselves at odds over various issues, Mister 5 couldn't shake the feeling of his heart burning with something more.
He did his best to avoid overthinking things, but the way time seemed to drag on only pushed him closer to the edge. Despite his best efforts to maintain a positive outlook, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.
"What you said isn't entirely true, Mister 5. The proof is right here—I'm still hanging out with you all." Miss Merry Christmas gave a disapproving response. The wrinkles on her face grew deeper, etching themselves into her skin with each passing second.
"Yeah? That's because you're a god damn granny! That kid isn't retard. He knows exactly who's worth to fuck," Mister 5 just couldn't hold back his feelings anymore and ended up saying what he dreaded the most.
"That was a really rude thing to say. If your brain wasn't as messed up as your looks, you might see that princess from Arabasta still inferior to me. Just so you know, even your partner doesn't have a shot in this situation."
Mister 5 had no real reason to get upset or even stand up for his partner, but he just couldn't let her poke fun at him like that. Fortunately for her, their movements were limited by the chains. Otherwise, even with her devil fruit ability to transform into a mole or a mole-human hybrid, she would have faced quite a challenge.
"Hey, let's not get into a disagreement here. We both know that brat doesn't have the courage to go through with it. How about I sing you a fun little song about an okama? I bet it'll bring a smile to your face and lighten your hearts!"
No one really took Mister 2 seriously, especially when he began warming up with some ballet moves. But hey, at least he found a way to lighten the mood and defuse the situation.
Just as Mister 2 was about to open his throat and let his voice soar, an unexpected kick came out of nowhere and landed squarely on his face. The force behind it was so powerful that it knocked him to the floor, causing him to lose consciousness.
All eyes turned to Mister 1 as he strolled back to his corner, the atmosphere shifting with his every step. His expression hardened as he asked, "You have a problem? I don't want to add to the gloominess of this place, so he'll just sleep a bit longer, like he always does."
With that, silence wrapped around them once more, leaving only the soothing sound of the waves crashing outside to fill the air. Everyone seized the opportunity to catch some much-needed rest. On the surface, they appeared indifferent, but beneath that calm exterior, they were grappling with uncertainty about what the future held for them.
