Hey all, hard at work on the next comic project, but I think I'm at a point where I'm comfortable announcing what it is so here it is!What happens when a washed up and forgotten scribe is granted the power to switch bodies with anyone he desires? You decide! Spirit Weave is going to be a fantasy comic with a branching storyline where patrons will get to vote on which routes get done first!
Basically how this is going to work is that every update will end with a poll deciding what our protagonist does next. Once an ending is reached the previous opposite choice's chapter will be made. My goal is that by the end of this it'll be a fully fledged CYOA comic that people will get to go through at their own pace.
Art wise this is going to come with a few concessions if I want this to update at an acceptable rate so in order to make that happen my process for sketching is going to be simplified along with my colors. It will probably end up looking like my sketch commission style.
In terms of what's done currently the script for the intro chapter and one of the main routes is done, There are going to be about 7 main routes each with 2 endings so there's still a hefty amount of work to get done in that aspect. Rough character design sketches for most of the important cast are also done. But the only one that's been cleaned up and colored is for the main protagonist, Hayden. I will have a spoiler channel up in the Discord server where people can see the rough sketches for what I have done and where I'll post the cleaner versions as well. I want to keep the other characters a surprise, outside of that though.
Here's our protagonist, Hayden Karetta, a scribe responsible for chronicling the legendary hero's journey to save the world from being plunged into eternal darkness. He's gone on to be forgotten in the years since, and has been spending his gold on ale and brothels to drown his frustrations over not getting the praise he thinks he deserves.
