NOTE! After the Blender 5.2 update, the developers updated how the VSE Compositor works. Now VSE fully runs on GPU, which means Power Grade now works great in VSE too, when added as a Compositor Strip Modifier.
Professional color grading and post-production. Right inside Blender.
What's New in PowerGrade 2.1
Multiple Grades
The biggest new feature. You can now create multiple separate grades inside one file — each with its own exposure, color balance, curves, vignette, grain, and all other settings completely independent from the others.
This is especially useful when you have multiple cameras in the same scene. Before 2.1, switching cameras meant your carefully crafted grade for the first camera looked wrong on the second one. Constantly re-adjusting was a real pain. Now you just create a separate Grade for each camera. No more limitations.
You can also use Multiple Grades to:
Compare completely different looks on the same shot
Prepare multiple deliverable versions
Experiment freely without losing your previous work
Asset System
PowerGrade 2.1 integrates with Blender's native Asset Browser. You can save any grade as an asset, set a cover preview image, and reuse it across all your Blender projects — just like any other Blender asset. Drag, drop, and you're grading.
Real Film Grain
Completely rethought. This is no longer just noise — it's real film grain, the way it works in DaVinci Resolve and other professional grading tools. Animated by default. No drivers needed. Ready for cinematic animation out of the box.
Improved Vignette
The vignette now applies correctly to cinematic frame edges by default. Much more realistic and natural compared to the previous version.
Legacy Project Support
If you're updating from a previous version, your work is safe. PowerGrade 2.1 detects legacy projects and offers a one-click conversion. All your settings carry over with full access to the new features.
What is PowerGrade?
PowerGrade is a Blender add-on for real-time color grading and post-production. It works directly in the 3D Viewport, so you can see your grade as you work — no need to constantly jump to the Compositor to check results.
It started as a personal tool. Something I built for my own projects because I needed it. I share it here on Patreon because I think it can genuinely help other artists, too.
Where to Find It in Blender
PowerGrade lives in the Sidebar:
3D Viewport → Sidebar → PowerGrade

Versions
PowerGrade for 5.0.x — Blender 5.0 and higher
PowerGrade for 4.2.x — Blender 4.2 - 4.5 — does not support Blender 5 features. Film Grain works in Blender 4.5+.
Purchase & Updates
PowerGrade has two access options:
One-time purchase — you buy it once. Every future update lands in your inbox automatically, completely free. No extra payments, no subscriptions.
Patreon membership — gives you access to the current version while your membership is active. Cancel the membership, and the download access goes with it.
If you want permanent access with all future updates included — the one-time purchase is the way to go.
How to Install
Installation is simple — just like any Blender add-on:
Download the ZIP file from this post
In Blender, go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons
Press Install from Disk and select the ZIP file
Enable the add-on and start grading
Or simply drag and drop the ZIP file directly into Blender.
A Personal Note
I built PowerGrade for my own work first. Every feature I add is something I actually needed in a real project. If you're supporting the channel — thank you, it genuinely means a lot and helps me keep building. And if you're new here — welcome. I hope PowerGrade makes your workflow better.
