The new Blender 5 has finally been released and it's time to make a new Masterclass. Blender 5 introduces numerous new features for environmental arts, which I showcased in my previous video. Now, I want to dive deeper.
The most interesting aspect is the compositor in the video sequencer. So, the new Masterclass will be based on that feature, because now we can work on animation using compositing and smoothly watch the result on the timeline. This is a real game-changer for Blender.
Compositor in VSE just appeared, and it has a few rough edges, but it works, and we can already use it. For animation, it's definitely better than the original compositor without cache and playing animation on the timeline. However, now it works on CPU only and I hope they will add GPU acceleration like on the original compositor for better performance soon.
