DevLog #34
DESCRIPTION

Hello everyone!

Chapter 3 Part A is coming along really well! With the more modest scope we're aiming for from now on in terms of update size, remember, around 400-500 renders, I'm currently targeting a release for late this month or early next month, depending on how tricky the remaining obstacles turn out to be. Those being one scene that's deceptively hard to make, and finishing a Chapter Report bit of code, which will now finally be included by the end of Chapter 2.

On top of that, I've been using Blender to create a few assets, like a large beach ground plane, for example. I can definitely see a lot of potential in Blender, but right now I don't want to get too deep into it because it feels like a huge time sink and something that would take a lot of study. Still, I’m absolutely not ruling it out for a calmer moment in the future.

The beach was kind of tedious to make. At first I tried putting together some modular patches, but with Daz's limitations there's just no way to make it look natural. In the end, I decided to create a specific ground patch just for that particular scene.

Throughout the month, we'll be posting a few Chapter 3 Part A previews as exclusive posts, but keep in mind this version is a short one, and it doesn't include any explicit scenes. Even so, I think that's still better than having to wait half a year, or even a full year like with the last update, unfortunately, just to get new content.

🥭Trying to improve our texts!

We’ve changed the way we proofread our writing. As many of you know, we’re not native speakers, and that can make it harder to fully convey what we want to say in the final text. From now on, we’re writing everything directly in our native language first. We believe this will lead to better final text overall, but to make sure, we need your feedback!

We're planning to make a poll soon with original text snippets and the new alternatives so we can see what you all think.

If it does turn out to be a positive change, we'll start applying those improvements to older text as new updates come out!

🥭Themes and Girls Poll Winners!

And now, for our paid members ($5+)...

The winning theme was Working Hours! The characters included in the set will be: Sayuri ($10+) and Paris ($5+)!

That’s all for now! The next announcement will undoubtedly include the release date, which I will reveal one week before the release! Also, remember that the Getting Hot tier ($22+) now gets access to the update five days early as a beta version!

See you soon!
