Patent leather shoes on feet sockless ankles showing, very shiny shoes

I wish I had better defined ankles but unfortunately I'm a little too overweight, not like when i was younger 🤣

I know some people prefer patent leather to regular leather but what do other ppl think?  I don't mind either.
