Hi dear Berries! 👋😊 Today we’re finally excited to share with you the seventh Pre-Animation (combining live-action with CGI) of Foxlo’s transformation into a Giant Blueberry! 🫐 This time, we’re showcasing a very advanced stage of the expansion of her juicy belly, 🤰🏼💦 one of the most intense moments within the entire transformation sequence. 🎞️
At last! 🏆 This shot took longer than expected to complete, mainly because of how difficult it is to integrate the real head onto the digital body, the render times and the fact that this is the only animation in the sequence where Foxlo actually walks. 👟 Despite all that, we’re happy to say that Shot 07 of the pre-animated sequence is now finished! (The most complex shot). 😮💨
This moment represents a very advanced stage in Foxlo’s transformation, 🔵 where you can clearly see her clothes stained by the blueberry juice she’s expelling, caused by the large amount of liquid building up inside her body. 🧃 This detail helps intensify the scene while maintaining visual continuity with the previous shots. 📼
As we explained in earlier posts: this shot is inspired by the iconic moment from the 2005 movie, 🎬 where Violet steps backward in embarrassment and shock as everyone around her watches in awe while her body continues to swell. 👀😳 In our version, we wanted to reinterpret that memorable scene with a bolder approach and a darker atmosphere. 🎥🍿
🛠️ On the technical side:
Animation was done in Blender, using rotoscoping from the live footage.
Softbody effects were created in Houdini.
Foxlo’s real head was composited onto her digital body in Nuke.
Lighting and rendering were handled in Cycles using Blender.
⚠️ Keep in mind that these pre-animations aren’t the final result — they’re part of our process to build out each sequence, integrate the real head with the 3D body and fix any issues during production. 🎞️ They also help us refine the lighting and atmosphere, which we’ll later enhance with additional layers of post-processing to achieve a more realistic and cinematic look (The best movie). ⬇️Video Links⬇️

We hope you enjoy this one as much as we did creating it! 💙 And as always, thank you so much for all your support — it’s because of you that we can keep developing new material for the film and continue making this amazing project a reality. 🙌 Stay tuned for more Blueberry content and upcoming posts like this one… the best is coming! 💋
