Hi dear berries! 👋😊 Today we’re excited to share with you the Making Of of the eighth Pre-Animation for Foxlo’s transformation into a Giant Blueberry! 🫐🎬 Following the sequence we’ve been building, we now have the rotoscoping for this new shot ready, marking another important step forward in the animation process. 🎞️ All the info is below... ⬇️
In this scene, Foxlo reacts with concern as the blueberry juice rises up to her cheeks, 💦 causing them to noticeably swell, 🔵 while her eyes shift to a bluish tone. 👀 We also added an extra detail this time: her hair movement, 👩🦳 which spreads outward as it’s pushed by her expanding cheeks—just like in the 2005 Movie! 🎥
🛠️ On the technical side: we can share that all animations were created in Blender, with Foxlo’s movements rotoscoped from our actress performing in front of a green screen. The the soft-body effects applied to the cheeks and jowls were done in Houdini. While the Inventing Room environment was also composed in Blender. 🖥️⚙️ Up next, you’ll find both videos where you can clearly see the striking similarity between the live-action performance and the digital version, as well as the entire process we just described earlier in the post. ⬇️Video Links⬇️
