Hey everyone,
I hope you all had a great Mother’s Day weekend.
Now for the important part:
Francine Smith arrives THIS WEEK.
And honestly… I think you guys are going to love her.
BUILD 23 — STATUS REPORT
At this point, most of you have had a chance to jump into Build 23 — and if you haven’t yet, now’s the time. This update was a massive foundation shift for Edgeville, and the feedback has been incredibly encouraging so far.
A few bugs slipped through:
Mrs. Incredible was not supposed to switch into her costume yet. I changed that in the story, but apparently left a rogue boolean check alive somewhere in the code. Oops.
Dexter’s Mom, Helen Parr, and Lois Griffin should currently cap at Relationship Level 4.
Sara Bellum should currently cap at Relationship Level 5.
If you pushed beyond those limits, don’t worry — Build 24 will automatically correct those levels.
I also may have underestimated the amount of Jewels players would collect. Thankfully, that problem solves itself soon because Bluecoin is finally about to become useful. Vendors are coming, which means you’ll be able to buy Jewels directly instead of relying entirely on exploration.
Outside of that?
Everything appears to be running surprisingly smooth.
And that’s a huge relief considering how much of the game changed underneath the hood.
WHAT PLAYERS ARE RESPONDING TO
The Relationship Loop
This seems to be the biggest win.
Collecting Jewels, completing missions, leveling relationships, unlocking interactions… players are saying the loop finally gives the world structure and progression.
The characters feel more connected to the player now.
And because of that, the spicy content feels more earned instead of just randomly existing.
That’s exactly the direction I wanted Edgeville to move toward.
The Save System
This one surprised me.
The Save System got a much stronger reaction than I expected — especially in the latest poll. That tells me people are getting invested enough to care about progression and long-term playthroughs.
Because of that, I’m already planning to expand it further with:
Multiple save slots
Better progression tracking
More persistent world-state systems
This is becoming a real game framework now — not just isolated scenes.
FRANCINE SMITH
This week, you’ll finally meet Francine for the first time.
She’s preparing for a neighborhood pool party, and things are… not exactly ready yet.
You’ll help her clean up the house, organize the backyard, and get everything prepared for the big event.
But this is only the beginning.
Because once the party actually starts?
Let’s just say Edgeville’s neighborhood is about to get a lot more interesting.
And yes…
There’s a very good chance you’ll be seeing several of the milfs in some extremely questionable swimwear. 👀
A MAJOR DEVELOPMENT CHANGE
Francine is also the first character built using Edgeville’s new character pipeline.
You won’t notice anything different while playing — but behind the scenes, this changes everything for development speed.
The old process for adding characters was far too slow and painful.
The new framework is dramatically smoother, more modular, and much easier to scale.
Which means:
If this rollout goes well, new characters should start arriving MUCH faster moving forward.
That’s the real long-term win here.
AFTER FRANCINE…
The update immediately following Francine will focus on expanding the CURRENT roster.
That means:
Dexter’s Mom
Sara Bellum
Helen Parr
Lois Griffin
Francine Smith
…will all receive story continuations, additional progression, and higher relationship caps.
And for the first time:
You’ll begin unlocking some of their earliest sex acts.
Edgeville is finally starting to evolve into the larger experience I originally envisioned.
More progression.More systems.More interactions.More obsession.
We’re just getting started.
