DESCRIPTION
Here’s some sketches of Elaina Marks to practice drawing her and to work out the backstory. I went with she survives the lab explosion… Maybe she was in a short coma and David felt he couldn’t wait for her to wake up and goes on the run. She wakes up and starts her mission to cure David. Her mission becomes an obsession, leading her to erotic fantasies and aggrandizing self-deception, until ultimately she decides she must become a Hulk herself.
There’s a panel that references where she takes David’s place in the story but I think I like the backstory above better.
