hello its me, magbo, a little later than usual. i try to do the last monthly updates before the month is up but sometimes i miss my deadline 😩
so ive been doing stuff since the last update. i spent 5 or 6 days testing out clip studio paint v4. unfortunately it was not good. for my workflow and tools i require to do pics csp is very unsuitable. i found it to be inferior to my 15 year old version of photoshop in almost every single way, ranging from annoyances in menus and renamed and moved tools to lack of specific features and big lag due to large canvas and brush sizes. the cool brush engine and color mixing isnt enough to justify putting up with all the baggage. i think i may still be able to use it in some niche cases to do final touchups on pics but i will not be switching over to it.
the two porsha pics (selfie heat and horsecock) were done in csp as well as the gamajin pic. primarina i did the base paint setup and background in photoshop before working the rest out in csp. the other pics in this archive update were done in ps.
i also tried out corel painter but the extended trial version i have acquired was very buggy and i couldnt get more than 15min in before tapping out. not sure on that one tbh, it looked like it had some OK stuff but at first glance i already noticed it lacking some basic features im used to so i didnt feel like diving further into it at this time.
i have finished the soraka patreon poll winner from january (smh) and the renamon poll winner from substar will be done some time in february. also finished the talash monthly suggestion pic.
enough of my rambling theres lot of stuff to work on, i will return with the monthly archive update/suggestion post/polls in a few days. in the meantime all the new stuff is in the NEW folder in the archive. if you dont have access to the archive yet let me know in the DMs.
