It's about damn time for another update - and there's a lot to show!
I've been very busy working on the next release lately. But first, I had to fix a serious bug in the character editor that cost me a lot of nerves. Some of you may have noticed that the parameters in the character editor were not carried over to the latest version. This bug actually affected everything you can customize in the character editor. I had to rewrite parts of the character editor and the saving process, but now the issue is fixed and the editor is working as intended. I would prefer to just create new content, but as a developer, you also have to solve many technical problems. Nevertheless, I learn from this and gain valuable experience that you would never gain by watching a tutorial.
I already updated the latest release and all download links for you a few days ago. All settings you make in the character editor of this fixed version will now be carried over to future releases.
But speaking of the character editor: I've added two new categories that allow you to customize the girls' makeup. You can now customize eyeliner and eyeshadow. You can change the type, color, and opacity. I initially added 14 eyeliners and 10 eyeshadows to get you off to a good start.
The ability to control both separately opens up a huge number of possible combinations for facial makeup alone, and you get even more tools to change the girls to suit your taste! I played around a bit and was amazed at how much makeup affects the girls' appearance. You can now create both a goth girl and a stylish, colorful girl, or simply go for the natural look and avoid makeup altogether. On some screens, you can see how I matched Jessica's makeup to the color of her top, which I think creates a very neat look.
We all want Amber to move into our villa. But until now, something important was still missing: another room! So I built one for us and had a lot of fun doing it!
Everything in this room was built entirely by myself, whereby I focused on maintaining a low polycount for performance reasons without sacrificing any details. Amber gets the smallest room of the girls. Adding this room to the game will expand your villa once again!
I also experimented with different wallpapers and veneers for the furniture and think it gives Amber's room a truly unique look and atmosphere. So that is definitely going to be your playground with Amber in the early stages. Do you think she will like her room?
So, what are the next steps? I plan to provide you with no less than three new scenes in the next release!
First: You have to assemble the furniture for Amber. Jessica and Hannah will surely be happy to help you with that.
Secondly: Once the furniture has been assembled and her room is ready, it's finally time for the first chapter with Amber – when she moves in.
Thirdly: In addition, I would like to add a new suggestion for both girls, Hannah and Jessica.
The concept for all three scenes is already in place, and I have already started working on one of them. As soon as there is something to show, you will be the first to see it here!
