Hey gang! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. The NBA play-offs are in full swing, so half of the WHM boys have spent the last several days pulling their hair out. Chris and Eric are also fine. Anywhoooooo, we've got a really awesome week planned, so let's see what's dropping in the WHMu:
First up tomorrow, we bring the very popular Remake-ril to a close with an episode on the completely toothless Hollywood flub, RoboCop (2014)! Yes, the one where they redesigned the suit and it looks terrible, removed all the comedy, and placed Samuel L. Jackson in a Fox News host-type role, making him the only good part of the movie. Lots more discussed on this one and despite our hesitation on wanting to go back to this dreck, the episode turned out to be a hilarious time. Then on Wednesday, the long wait is over as we premiere our next edition of Scaredy Cats! If you're unfamiliar, Scaredy Cats is a new video show we do (complete with an accompanying audio-only podcast) that covers modern horror movies. So anything that's ten years old or more recent is fair game! This episode, the viewer poll deemed it time to talk about Russell Crowe in The Pope's Exorcist, and hot damn did we have fun with this one. You can see what all the fuss is about on here at the top level Craven Tier!
And then on Thursday, we're closing out the week (and month!) with the latest episode of our Star Trek recap show, The Nexus! This month, it's back to our standard show structure where we're talking about the TOSTAS (The Original Series: The Animated Series) season two premiere, "The Pirates of Orion," and the really, really good TNG episode, "Ensign Ro." We're just about at the end of TOSTAS, and TNG is truly in high gear with season five, so be sure you don't miss a minute of the Trek-chat, you can get in on the fun at the $8 tier & up!
