DESCRIPTION
Dr. Samuel Avery, a reserved history professor, discovers his late Aunt Carol's trunk containing 1940s dresses and diaries detailing her participation in clandestine cross-gender expression gatherings. Intrigued, he tries on a dress and feels a connection. His colleague, Dr. Lena Hanson, a social historian, expresses interest in the items for research. Samuel cautiously shares the diaries and some dresses with Lena, who is understanding and sees their historical value. He continues to wear the dresses privately. Lena eventually learns his secret and offers acceptance and friendship, helping him come to terms with this part of himself and Aunt Carol's legacy.
