We've got a pretty awesome Tekken 8 mod here that is a work from our awesome modder, TheRessen- who is basically responsible for making all of our T8 mods. This is his own personal release, not one of our commissions.
Anyway, this brings Faith Connors, the badass protagonist of the parkour action game Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, to the King of Iron Fist Tournament, via this mod for Ling XIaoyu. This actually isn't exactly new, as this was released quite a long time ago. However, this new release and remake of the mod is worth taking a look at.
So this new version is pretty much a Head Replacer mod, which is what we usually have TheRessen do for us. This means that aside from having her own outfit from Mirror's Edge ported to the game ( a non-barefoot fullbody outfit), Faith can wear any and all of Xiaoyu's costumes and outfits for a variety of looks we weren't able to do before. So now we can have Faith in bikinis, dresses and whatever you want.
Faith's face is really well-done, and she fits right into the game alongside the Tekken characters, though I have to say that Xiao's cutesy voice might not necessarily fit her, as her face seems more serious and stoic compared to our cute kung-fu darling. Which is why I think it may be fine to use the Pai Chan voice mod when using her (you can get the Pai voice mod with the respective character mod).
Anyway, I am always looking to add Guest Fighters to the roster, and Faith is a worthy addition and I think Ling's acrobatic, high-flying style fits her well. And of course, we can have this high-jumping heroine barefooted and showing her perfect feet as we please. Expect to see her in action along with our many Tekken 8 Guest Fighters from here on.
