It's been a while since our last cosplay feature, but yep- we've got another Tekken 8 cosplay here for your entertainment. We've got Streetfighter's Sakura Kasugano in Tekken (even though we already have the actual SFV Sakura via another mod already), cosplayed by none other than the Iron-Fisted Cosplay Queen herself, Reina. In case you missed it, the female Mishima is quite the cosplay enthusiast, revealed in her unique intro with Clive Rosfeld. Its reasonable to assume she surely engages in dress-up herself, like Marin Kitagawa if she was a somewhat ruthless and dominating martial arts heiress.
The spirited and heroic Shotokan schoolgirl, Sakura, is certainly one of the most iconic characters in all of fighting games, so certainly she'd be perfect for cosplaying as. Reina is a natural fit, being also Japanese, with very similar athletic build, short hair and even some moves like a jumping uppercut and flying kicks. Of course, personality-wise they're about as polar opposites as can be- with Sakura being innocent, carefree, friendly and cheery while Reina is a bit nasty, duplitious and scheming, manipulative and ruthless. Granted, Reina is also courageous and strong in her own way, just- a bit dark. Which makes her version of Miss Kasugano more like a 'Dark Sakura' (a version of Sakura corrupted by the Dark Hadou).
Anyway, this cosplay was made possible by the recent addition of a Sailor School Uniform for the ladies that came with the recent Kunimitsu Update, and it even comes with fighting gloves that makes it pretty perfect for a Sakura look with some color customization. Oh, of course we have her barefooted because, Of Course.
This is definitely a character for fans of the Sailor Uniform, as well as some flashy views- which is whenever Reina kicks, because this girl loves to kick high- and stomp low. Yep, we love her, definitely. Expect to see Dark Sakura Mishima in action (and in KOs) from here on. For now, enjoy the screens!
