Hi everyone!
When we first made this map, it started its design as a Spelljammer Crystal Ship, but then we added more and more wood and human elements until we realized it wasn't a Crystal Ship at all by the end of it. We liked the design so much that we wanted to keep working on it and we ended up with a completely different type of human ship for exploring the Astral Sea, using its Astral Sails to propel itself along.
We had a lot of fun animating this one. When we finished the original version we thought it would be super fun to have a hyperspeed variation to create some real intensity in a travel or pursuit scene. Whilst we're on the subject of pursuits, be sure not to anger any giant turtles any time soon or you may well end up with an entire island hunting down your ship!
