THIS WEEK'S COVER! And this is a little different than what I normally do, giving a MIDWEST EMO twist on a song instead of a SKA twist.. but something really fun nonetheless!
Fun fact, I had a HUGE midwest emo kick for a few years. The first local venue that introduced me to ska also had a strong emo scene, and I happened to be looped into the topshelf records era of emo, which was a great time to be catching a wave of emo bands. I feel like no matter how hard i try, that early-to-mid 2010s emo inspiration is always present in my writing, and it was cool to really lean into that style for this one!
Maybe i'll do more emo covers... if it's something y'all are into. At the end of the day, y'all are why I am able to do all of this stuff that we do! SO If y'all push more for these midwest emo covers, I can start mixing them into the mix.... if they make sense...
