WHY IS THIS TRACK SUCH A BANGER! I always had this in the faintest corners of my memory. Born in 95, Doug was just ending syndication when I was starting to watch tv more as a kid.
It wasn’t until way later when Brent (my friend / booking agent) said it would be a banger, so it stuck out when I saw it a few times in the Patreon request folder. The fact that the fictional band the beets is obviously a parody on the Beatles, it made it work well with the British vibe to adopt it into a 2-tone vibe!
